New little trick!!

Hi Everyone! It has been so long since I have posted a new blog, sorry. I guess time just flies by when you are constantly chasing an almost 9 month old around the house making sure he doesn't get into anything. Carter will be 9 months on Monday. This week he has his 2nd swallow test to see if he is still aspirating some. If he is not we no longer have to put cereal in his bottles, YEA!!! He also has A LOT more teeth. He has two on the bottom with another one poking through and he has almost four on top all the way through. He is always so happy we didn't even know he had all of them. We get the best peek when he laughs real big. Carter offically started crawling about 3 weeks ago. He is now pulling himself up & eating almost everything...but his favorite 2 things are riding on his car and throwing balls. Oh yeah, Daddy is so proud. If you check the video out you will see he is a LEFTY.

Carter is 8 months!!!

Here are some pictures of Carter from the last two weeks. I can't believe he is already 8 months old. He has been army crawling since Christmas and sitting up on his own too. Let's just say that bed time is not as easy as it used to be. He has officially started crawling this past week but only does it for about 8 strides then goes back to army crawling. He also has a little cold but as you can see from the special video from tonight he is not feeling that bad. We hope everyone is staying warm & healthy, we love and miss you all!

Bronchoscophy & Tubes

Carter had his 2nd bronchoscopy on Wednesday and got tubes that same day. We received some good news that the bump they found in Carter's trachea a month ago is not a mast!!! The doctors are not worried about it and were able to confirm that he does have tracheal malacia (softening of the airways) and he will grow out of it in a couple years. We decided for him to get tubes at this time because he had a lingering ear infection for the past 2 months. The ENT doctor said that his right ear was still infected when he did the tubes so we are having to do ear drops for the next few days. Carter does not like this at all. He is getting so strong now and it takes both of us to hold him down to do this. He had a hard time coming out of the anesthesia but once he got some juice an a little nap in he was much better. Random pictures from this weekend

I had to post these pictures of Carter from this weekend. The first one is of him on his first walk & ride scooter from Grandma & Grandpa Burkemper. He doesn't know what to do with it but he sure likes it a lot. The next one is of Dom playing with his hair. We just got home from my sisters and took his KU stocking off and his hair was all sweaty so Dom spiked it. The last few pictures are of Carter watching the snow fall this morning. First of all he loved banging on the sliding glass door and he loved the vent blowing the heat in his face...but in the end he did end up watching the snow fall. We didn't get as much as everyone in Kansas but just enough to have a white Christmas!!! Love you all!

Carter's 1st Christmas

Carter had a great 1st Christmas. Santa was very good to him along with everyone else. His favorite thing was the wrapping/tissue paper & boxes. Santa brought him a wagon, bath toys, a new bowl, and tow truck. Dad got him a Crawl & Cruise Musical Jungle and Mommy got him a learning table and cell phone. What more could he need???After a wonderful visit with the Kobuszewski side this past weekend and my family on Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, Carter is pooped. He is napping as I am writing this. Here are some pictures from the holiday festivities. By the way the one with my Dad and the peace sign is really suppose to be bunny ears behind Rachel. It was the best picture of everyone if I could only remove his hand!!! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.
